This is a structured, program where we partner directly with your business to train and track your workforce through:

NCCER + The Energize Framework

Our apprenticeship training is fully aligned with the NCCER Electrical Levels 1–4 curriculum, ensuring national standardization and credentialing across all core competencies. Each level includes theory, safety, code, and hands-on application designed to meet the requirements for state licensure and Department of Labor standards.

Training is delivered through evening or weekend sessions, both online and in-person, designed to work around your crew’s schedule.

VP of Education | Master Trainer & Electrician | Industry Veteran | Founder of Surge Electrical Training

Sergio Cortez brings over 30 years of hands-on experience to Energize Us EDU as VP of Education.

A licensed Master Electrician and NCCER Master Trainer, Sergio has led teams across residential, commercial, and industrial job sites, and began his journey serving in the US Coast Guard as an Electrician’s Mate.

He has spent more than 17 years teaching, developing skilled trades curriculum, and serving on industry advisory boards.

Known for his leadership and deep technical knowledge, Sergio helps shape the current & next generation of electricians through a focus on safety, real-world training, and code excellence.

With over 17 years in the electrical trade, Wilson brings real-world experience and a teacher’s mindset to every apprentice he trains.

He’s built a program that goes beyond the basics—teaching hands-on skills, practical knowledge, and the leadership mindset needed to succeed in today’s trades.
