CONSTRUCTION FOREMAN & CREW LEADER DEVELOPMENT
Talk through the training your team needs
Share your crew’s roles, responsibilities and current questions. Discuss communication, planning and accountability with Energize Us EDU.
Construction Foreman & Leadership Training
Energize Us EDU works with contractors and their teams on the people side of leading the work: communication, planning, accountability and practical learning.
Tell us about your crew and the responsibilities you want to strengthen. We’ll discuss an appropriate training scope with you.
Built around your people and their work
A strong technician takes on a different responsibility when they begin leading others. The next step includes explaining expectations, listening to questions and helping the crew understand what happens next.
Our approach connects practical education and leadership development with the team’s day-to-day experience.
Make the next responsibility clear
Who owns the task? What does the crew need before work begins? When should a question be raised? How does the next person receive the information?
Use these questions to identify where your team needs a clearer routine, a shared expectation or more practice.
Discuss the training your crew needs
Bring your company’s goals, team roles and current questions. We’ll discuss the audience, learning priorities, delivery format and schedule before agreeing on a training plan.
Foreman development, employer apprenticeship instruction and contractor business development are related but distinct needs. We can help you discuss the appropriate next conversation.
What does a foreman need to make clear?
Leading a crew means connecting the plan to the people doing the work. These practical questions can help you identify priorities for a training conversation; the topics and format are agreed for your team.
Roles and responsibilities
Who is responsible for the task, who needs an update and who should be asked when the plan is unclear?
Crew communication
Explain the expected result, listen to questions and confirm that the next step is understood.
Planning and handoffs
Talk through the work, the information the crew needs and what the office or next person must know.
Questions and safe work
Make room for questions and clarify when an issue needs to be raised with the responsible supervisor.
Accountability and follow-up
Give the next action an owner, agree when it will be reviewed and discuss what needs attention.
Developing the next person
Connect an explanation to the task, listen to what the learner understands and identify what needs more practice.
Start with your team’s next responsibility
For contractor owners, foremen, field leaders and the people supporting them. Share your team’s current questions and the responsibilities you want to strengthen so we can discuss an appropriate learning plan.

This conversation is for contractors developing the people who explain the work, coordinate with the office, support apprentices and follow through with the crew.
Start with the responsibilities your people carry today and the next ones they need to understand. The learning priorities and format are agreed around your team’s needs.
